We recognize that sometimes there’s too much information on the map for larger customers with lots of vehicles.
Every customer is different though, in terms of “vehicle density” so we are about to make it a configurable option to chose how your dots and labels behave when zooming in and out:
In a few days, we will release a new, configurable mechanism to allow customers to choose which zoom level the labels and “large pins” appear and/or turn into “small pins” without labels:

Too many labels
Choose which zoom level works best for you to take the large pins and labels and turn them into small pins with no labels:

Change the zoom level where small/big dots appear
And now the dots are less cluttered with labels (and clicking any dot brings up information about the vehicle):

More decipherable location information without labels
And soon, we will be making map “cluster” markers such as this available (and the color/size will change based on the vehicle makeup and activity):

Vehicle cluster icons
Zooming in will eventually show the individual pins and labels:

zooming into a clustered set of vehicles
The cluster icons will dynamically show color/proportion based on vehicle activity, stop times, etc.
We’ll let you know when this becomes available, and as always, there will be options to allow you to turn it on/off and thresholds where the pins begin to appear individually.
Enjoy, and let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions — we always appreciate knowing what works best for our customers and prospects.
Thanks,
Rob.
